The Brno Reservoir is a favourite place for both citizens of Brno and tourists, mainly because it offers a lot of possibilities how to enjoy free time. Considering with its size, there is a opportunity of sightseeing on a steamship and also a good fit for favourers of yachting. The neighbourhood of reservoir is surrounded by beautiful nature and it is the reason why it is often visited by tourists, which go to The Veveří castle or place of pilgrimage “U tří křížů” and to Nature Park “Podkomorské lesy”.
The neighbourhood of Brno reservoir is a good place for a lot of sport activities, especially hiking and in-line skating. Voleyball and golf grounds are also situated nearby.
The reservoir is a great place to relax from everyday life. It is a highly requested area for recreation and restaurants. Brno zoo is located close by. It is a fun place for children. At the end of spring you can see firework show “Ignis Brunensis” on the reservoir, which is visited every year by hundred thousands of people.
